Short Term Disability

The Sample Company ensures you have financial protection in the event of a short term disability. Short term disability coverage pays you a benefit if you are unable to work temporarily due to an injury, illness, or maternity leave. Full-time eligible employees are eligible to receive 100 percent of that current weekly earnings for up to 13 weeks. An eight-day waiting period for benefits applies. Your doctor and the insurance company will work together to determine how long benefits are payable based on your condition.
